starting early and continuing all day for three days (so far) the construction workers next door jackhammer into the wall abutting our home.
They said they’d leave the section of wall next to our house whole, but they are not only jackhammering columns off of it (to put up braces, they say) but have taken out big chunks of the wall, exposing our exterior wall.
Meanwhile, they demolished the wall running along our backyard, and have built a plywood construction wall in its place – except that the plywood was built into our property, and bows even further in at the middle. It was also built over the top of our big cast iron planter.
Georgetown, Robin Hood Foundation, and Achievement First schools say that they want to be good neighbors, but they’ve been dismissive and dishonest thus far… We shall see.
