The following is based on the a question that relates to a 12×24 SHED with 4/12 pitch not a 24×24 SHED with 4/12 pitch.
With an approximate 1′ Soffit, overhang, along the 24′ sides, 12 pieces of plywood would be required for a 12′ x 24′ shed with a 4/12 pitch. ( A flat 12 x 24 area would take 9 sheets, 4 /12 slope would require slightly less than 8" x 24′ and the over hang would add 2 strips at 1′ each for a total of 2′-8" x 24′ this would require 3 more sheets for a total of 12 sheets.) It could be covered with 11 sheets but some small 1′-4" x 8′ pieces would have to be used to cover a 2′-8" x 8" area.
Allowing for waste on the shingles 12 pcs @ 4′ x 8′ would equal 384 sq. ft. at 33 sq ft per bundle of shingles (384/33 = 11.6 bundles) or 13 bundles of shingles to allow for cuts and waste.
Total =12 sheets plywood and 13 bundles shingles
OR
Without an overhang the basic 9 sheets of plywood would be required, plus the 4/12 slope would require an 8" x 24′ area that would need to be covered, which could be accomplished with one more sheet. That would be a total of 10 sheets of plywood.
10 sheets of 4 x 8 plywood equals 320 sq ft 320 / 33 would equal 9.7 bundles of shingles. With allowance for cuts and waste 11 bundles of shingles would be required.
Total = 10 sheets plywood and 11 bundles of shingles
It depends on roof overhang – 1′ assumed in first answer.
