What does it cost a MDF and Particle Board Factory to buy large quantities of Sawdust and Planer Shavings?

Do some suppliers (Saw mills, plywood factories, softwood manufacturers) pay to have it collected, do others charge? Or is the bulk of this material’s costs in the transportation of it to and from supplier to user? Is there a commodity price for this type of material when being used in massive quanities–as they do for Particle Board and MDF manufacturing? Thanks for your help
