Any recommendations of a good birch veneer brand that I can easily apply myself?

Hi experts!
I want to apply a birch veneer to my plywood window frame so that it matches the other wood tones in my condo. I visited home depot and bought an iron on roll of thin birch veneer made by a company called "Band-It" which is all they carry. I knew the concept of an iron on veneer sounded very cheap and low quality so I was not surprised to see that when I did a test run it was difficult to apply and didn’t look as nice as I am hoping for.

My question is – has anyone had a good experience with a specific brand/style of veneer that you would recommend for my project? It appears there are some products available online, however I’d like to have some more opinions on the options before I buy.

Thanks so much for your help.

Try Woodcraft, Grizzley.com, or any of the catalog houses, but call them up first.
